Future Pinball First Run
Alright, I finally got future pinball up and running. I had some problems with the PC that I was using. I initally tried using my AMD A-10 with its built in 7760D graphics but it seems future pinball wont launch with that graphics chip. No matter what version of windows (XP and 7; 64bit and 32bit of both) the program just instantly closes. So I got a new power supply and plugged in a Gefore 660 in and now things are good. Im running XP 32bit. I was able to crank up the settings and currently have 5 tables setup. I tried setting up hyperpin but theres some configuring that needs to be done and i have look at that program at all yet. Still working on modeling the cabinet. Gonna work on that some more this weekend. Im pushing out the wood working for a another week or 2. Still have some planning to do on that.

Google Sketchup
I decided to wait till next weekend to build the frame. I needed to get a better visual of what I am building before I started cutting up wood. I have some basic 3d modeling skills but its been a while since I have used them. I sat down today and watched some tutorial videos on Google Sketchup. Started working on building the case in that. I have the a main frame done. Here is a few pics of that. If you would like a copy of the google sketchup file, just send me a message and I will email to you.
After I have completed the model I will add some animations that will break it out so anyone can use it to get the measurements of each piece.

Measured the inside of the TV
Got the back off this morning. Measured everything. There is a nice 7/8th inch wide indent down sides (top/bottom of tv). This will be perfect for mounting the TV on inside the cabinet. Heres a pic. Still working on software. Plan on learning google sketch up this weekend and try to start modeling this thing. I need a better visual before I start chopping up wood.

TV's out of its box.
Got the TV out and plugged in. Im kinda suprised by the size. It's really big when your just standing over it. Getting the computer ready. Gonna load up windows xp tonight and test out future pinball on it. I have a 20" monitor Im gonna hook up for the back board. Interesting realization tonight. I found out that the CPU im using has tripple monitor support. Its an AMD A-10 with a ATI 7660D videocard. Im intersted to see how well it runs with just the onboard ati graphics. I have a 570 to plugin if needed but it would be nice if it will run will with just the one chip. Anyways, windows xp is done downloaded. Im off to install that. Heres a pic of the TV
Here is a example of what I am going for. This cabinet is looks totally awesome. It is also the same size that Im building.

I created this blog to keep everyone updated on my pinball cabinet build. Lots of research has been done over the last couple weeks to prepare for this build. I expect this project to take 2-3 months to complete. Here is the specs of the cabinet.
I will be updating this page every few days. Most of the work will be done on the weekends so expect more updates on during that time. Playfield LCD has been ordered. I'll be removing it from the housing to fit it in the cabinet. Ill post some pictures tonight after I get the housing off. I should have a frame built this weekend and the LCD mounted. Here is what I am using:
- Widebody pinball cabinet, custom built (similar to a widebody bally or williams cabinet)
- 46" playfield
- 30" backboard,
- Real DMD display
- custom built PC (AMD A10 CPU, Nvidia 570 video card, 8GB Ram)
- LEDWIZ with 10 LED's and 7 contactor relays for force feedback.
- IPAC for button input
